Scottish Gin Flight
Set includes: Caorunn Gin (750 ml), Hendricks Gin (750 ml), Lind & Lime Maritime Gin (700 ml)
Caorunn Gin Pronounced "ka-roon," Caorunn is the Gaelic word for rowan berry, which is one of the 11 botanicals in this Scottish gin. Other unique local ingredients include bog myrtle, dandelion, heather, and Coul Blush apple. These five distinctly Scottish ingredients are represented in the five-sided bottle and the five-pointed asterisk. Alongside traditional gin botanicals, they all come together in a balanced, classic London dry style
Lind & Lime Maritime Gin Made at the Port of Leith Distillery, which was founded in 2017 by friends Ian Stirling and Patrick Fletcher. They have set their sight aggressively — hoping to bring Single Malt production back to Edinburgh. But as many distilleries do, they have also made Gin in the meantime, in their case a beautiful London Dry with a twist that they call Lind & Lime. Neutral Spirit is redistilled in-house to infuse seven botanicals. The core of the recipe is juniper, lime, pink peppercorn that shape the character of the Spirit. Delightful bright and citrusy London Dry.
Hendricks Gin First introduced in 1999, a time that is hard to recall from the vantage of today's gin soaked land of variety and cocktail culture. Back then there were few options on the shelf that weren't swill or super classic London Dry Gins. Hendrick's was a breath of fresh air with it's soft, cucumber-floral profile and eye catching Edwardian design. The opening is subtle, with a hint of cucumber mingling with juniper in the aroma, and white pepper, citrus and floral notes on the lingering finish.
