The Very Bitter People rewards program is our exclusive method for sorting the rare bottles that we receive - through a Points Auction! Use your reward points to "bid" on an item, at the end of the auction it will be offered to the highest bidder for purchase at MSRP. If you place a bid that doesn't nab a bottle - you'll keep your points, good for use in a future round. Make a couple of purchases a year and your points will never expire, so anyone can build to a winning bid.

To enter an Auction, sign-in and check your points total on the VBP Rewards tab (located on the bottom right corner of the site.) Navigate to the item you'd like, and place your points bid. Additional bids must be placed in 25 point increments. Use the Automatic Bid feature to set a maximum bid amount, and a bid for one increment over the current bid will be placed, and automatically increased if a higher bid is entered - until your max amount is reached. Popcorn bidding will activate if new bids are placed in the auctions final 5 minutes.

A new Points Auction will launch on the first Friday of every month. The next round will begin on Friday, January 3rd at noon and end on Friday, January 10th at noon (tbd on popcorn bidding activation). Winners will be contacted to coordinate their purchase. Note that bids for more points than one has available in their account will not be honored - and will bar one from future rewards participation.
