San Matias Tahona Blanco Tequila
Made with the traditional stone Tahona, the blanco is an industry favorite. Bright and floral nose, a post-rain earthiness vibe with a touch of citrus. Medium body, immediately you sense cooked agave with a touch of banana, moving quickly to pepper and a satisfying heat on the roof of the mouth. Relatively brief finish, but there is a hint lingering complexity.
San Matias Tahona is the result of 130 years of experience and time-honored methods reflecting Casa San Matias passion for producing exquisite tequila. This 100% artisanal, small-batch tequila is made according to tradition. To achieve the fullest flavor, the agave is steamed in stone ovens, crushed with the original tahona stone from 1886, fermented in wooden vats and distilled in copper pot stills – just as it was done centuries ago.
