Planteray Belize 2008 15 Year Rum

Planteray presents the 3rd vintage from the brand new “Terravera” collection: The Belize 2008.

Distilled from molasses on the Multi-Column still of Travellers Distillery in Belize, this was aged for 13 years in bourbon barrels in Belize City, then transferred to Javrezac, France to further age in Ferrand cognac barrels for 2 years. It has a dosage (added sugar) of eight grams per liter, and an ester level of 92 g/hL AA. Shows rich aromas of fresh sugar cane, vanilla, honey and toasted oak, with subtle hints of tropical fruit and sweet flowers. The palate is full of explosive flavors of ripe fruit, creamy toffee and roasted nuts, with a velvety texture and spicy notes of black pepper and cinnamon.
A long, warm finish follows, with lingering flavors of toasted oak, dried fruit and dark chocolate.
