At a hefty 58.5% abv, Batch 16 is the highest proof Laphroaig 10 Year Cask Strength bottling yet.  On the nose, apple crisp and sweet cereal mingle with oak, leather, and ash.  The viscous, oily palate has a beautiful coastal salinity that underpins vanilla, black peppercorn, and BBQ.  The black pepper carries through the finish and is joined by smoked fish and barrel char, with sea salt complimenting the warm spice and savory smoke.
