Cazcanes No. 7 Blanco Tequila
Cazcanes sources natural artesian water for their tequila. The water starts off as rain high up in the pristine peaks of the San Pedro De Los Landeros Mountains. It slowly travels through natural minerals deep within the volcanic mountains before emerging at the Navichi springs. They hand select each individual Weber Blue agave for harvest during peak sugar levels to deliver a distinctly rich taste. The “piñas” are then cooked and put through a roller mill to extract and concentrate their flavors. Next comes fermentation, using natural wild yeast, followed by distillation in alembic pot stills. The attention to detail continues through every step of the process until the tequila finds its final resting place in a hand-blown glass bottle.
The No. 7 Blanco is the first Blanco offering from Cazcanes. The nose is full of floral notes with hints of sweet agave, & candy corn. It is followed by a clean & earthy taste with notes of sweet agave, black pepper & anise. The finish is long, floral, and filled with peppery spice. Bottled at 40% abv.
