Limestone Farms "Morgan Family" Small Batch Straight Whiskey

Limestone Farms Small Batch was distilled in Kentucky from a mash bill of 78% corn, 13% rye, and 9% malted barley and aged for at least 9 years before bottling at 110.4 proof.  Though an NDA prevents Limestone Farms from revealing the distillate’s source, it is likely contract distilled by a large legacy Kentucky producer (maybe one with a similar mash bill…?).  The nose features sweet cinnamon, milk chocolate, honey roasted nuts, caramel, and earthy oak.  The palate explodes with rich caramel and chocolate with notes of citrus and rye weaving around the sweetness.  The finish is mouth watering chocolate, coffee, and oak with hints of baking spice.  You can taste the care and attention to detail that went into creating this fascinating blend.
