Elijah Craig Barrel Proof B524 Bourbon

The second of three annual releases, Elijah Craig Barrel Proof batch B524 was aged for 11 years and 2 months before bottling without chill filtration at 130.6 proof.  The nose shows powerful scents of raisin, barrel char, black pepper, and earthy oak.  On the palate, caramel and graham cracker sweetness somewhat offset the powerful flavors of baking spices, tobacco, and robust oak.  The finish is long and weaves between caramel, baking spice, and delicious old oak.  As usual, this bottle is a great value and an excellent example of well-aged, uncut bourbon.
