Bardstown Discovery Series #9 Straight Bourbon

The 9th release in Bardstown Bourbon Company's Discovery series an 8 year old four grain bourbon from Georgia to the blend.  To this main component, Bardstown adds a 12 year old Kentucky Bourbon, a 12 year old Canadian corn whiskey, and a 17 year old Tennessee bourbon.  The blend is then bottled at 112.5 proof.  The nose has scents of honey, orange, caramel, sweet cream, minerality, and oak.  The sip opens with sweet, rich honey, nougat, and caramel, before apple-cinnamon joins on the mid palate.  The finish is long and dry, with the 17 year old whiskey imparting flavors of tannic oak, minerality, leather, and dried fruits.
