Artist Series Benriach 1997 Vintage 24 Year Single Malt Scotch

Benriach is a very traditional distillery, producing its own malt and drawing its own water from the Burnside spring which flows deep below the distillery. Located in the heart of Speyside, it is considered one of the most innovative and experimental distilleries in Scotland. With a remarkable fruity and floral freshness, this version displays a flawless minerality. The aromas evolve naturally towards fresh green fields, marked in particular by citrus notes and invigorating medicinal flavors.

On the nose, there is acacia, fresh plum, rice cake, black pepper, candied grapefruit, and cinnamon. The palate grows from there with citrus, pear, malted barley, vanilla, lavender, hyacinth, and camphor. On the finish: pear, apple, malted barley, raspberry, verbena, cut hay, and rosemary. Aged solely in a hogshead made from ex-bourbon barrels, and bottled in a 700 ml bottle at a cask strength of 63.5% abv.
