Knob Creek Bourbon x Rye

A new release from Knob Creek, Bourbon x Rye is a 70/30 blend of 7 year old rye (51% rye, corn, malted barley) and 9 year old bourbon (75% corn, 13% rye, 12% malted barley) bottled at 113 proof.  The nose offers scents of brown sugar, cinnamon, caramel, dark berries, citrus, and a touch of eucalyptus.  The palate begins sweet with caramel, vanilla, and brown sugar before turning to gum drops, clove, and cinnamon.  The finish is sweet, spicy, and oaky with notes of blackberry jam, cinnamon, black pepper, and rich leather.
