Jack Daniel's Barrel Proof Single Barrel Rye Whiskey

Previously only available as a special limited release, Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye is now a part of the Jack Daniel's core lineup.  And thank goodness!  Distilled from a mash bill of 70% rye, 18% corn, and 12% malted barley, the whiskey is filtered through sugar maple charcoal, aged at least four years, and bottled at barrel proof.  While individual barrels will vary slightly, look for a big, bold nose featuring black pepper and rye spice backed by caramel and a light fruitiness.  The palate is likewise robust and intense, with peppery rye spice and cinnamon joined by butterscotch sweetness and a touch of light fruit.  The finish is long and rich with oak, spice, and sweet caramel.
