Not The Captain Spiced Rum Set
We have a little bit of the Chairman in us. Spiced rum is a troubled category that most sophisticated drinkers such as yourself may see themselves as having grown out of. Well, these balanced alternatives make a tasty argument for the long tradition of spicing rum.
Set includes: Chairman's Reserve Spiced Rum (700 ml), Canerock Jamaican Spiced Rum (700 ml), Kronan Swedish Punsch Liqueur (750 ml)
Chairman's Reserve Spiced Rum: Aroma rich with cloves, cassia bark, and dried fruit. Flavor is balanced, just the right amount of sweet and spice. Ginger, cinnamon, and allspice take the lead, from first sip til the lingering, lightly spicy finish. One of the few spiced rums worth sipping straight.
Canerock Jamaican Spiced Rum: A blend of pot and column still rums from two Jamaican distilleries: Clarendon and Long Pond. Once the blend has been fully infused with 100% natural ingredients, including Madagascar vanilla pods, Jamaican ginger, and coconut from around the Caribbean, part of the blend is set aside to finish in ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, lending even more natural richness and notes of raisin and cocoa.
Kronan Swedish Punsch Liqueur: The origin of Swedish Punsch dates back to 1733 when sailors onboard the Swedish East India Company ship Rex Sueciae used Batavia Arrack to make a traditional rum punch. Upon the ship’s arrival to Gothenburg, the seaboard recipe gained an enthusiastic following which continues to this day. Outside of Sweden the liqueur has a long legacy in numerous classic drinks including the Doctor Cocktail, the Havana, and the Waldorf, to name a few.
