Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur

Solerno is created from bittersweet, hand-picked, Sanguinello blood oranges. This intense liqueur is blended from three small-batch distillates: one made from the meat of the oranges, one from the skins, and one from local Sicilian lemons.  Sweetened with sucrose from sugar beets and bottled with no added color, the result is a complex, zesty, flavorful liqueur.  The nose presents aromatic citrus, with both the blood orange and lemon notes noticeable.  On the palate, a nice candied lemon peel note opens the sip before turning to more tangy blood orange and finishing with a dry acidity.
