Christian Drouin Le Gin

From Calvados producer Christian Drouin, Le Gin taps into the expertise of a family of craft distillers to create a gin for connoisseurs while incorporating 30 apple varieties. In addition 8 botanicals were chosen from the aroma universe of Calvados, all of which would best balance, complete and enhance the juniper and cider apple. Creating harmony among these 8 was done by adjusting the recipe and settling on small batch production, with one botanical distilled at a time to obtain the best possible blend.

Rose and lemon provide delicacy. Ginger, vanilla, cinnamon and almond give the gin a smooth, spicy body while cardamom enhances its fruit and roundness in the mouth. Juniper and apple complement one another with their heavy or high notes, spicy or crisp.
