A wholly unique rye mashbill from Buffalo Trace (reportedly with very little to no corn, so not at all like Sazerac), this black sheep of the Taylor family may just be the secret sauce that brings us back again and again, more than any of their bourbons. Huge bouquet, layers of spice and sweet; tobacco and black raspberries, cardamom and caramel, dill and toffee. An initial peppery bite explodes into tobacco, white pepper, toffee and berries. Finish is long, and satisfying, hints at cardamon ice cream.
