The oldest Port Charlotte release to date, retains the classic vibrancy of Bruichladdich's heavily peated Islay malt, but with added complexity from from the influence of refill sherry and wine casks - 74% sherry and 26% French oak wine casks. Notes of dried fruit, figs, sweet sultanas and raisins on the nose, followed by soft smoke, burnt heather, and marine-tinged cinder toffee. Sweet and fruity palate, dried dark fruits and chocolate, toasted spices, cinnamon, gingerbread, nutmeg, orange citrus, honey, and salted caramel. Phenol level of 40 PPM, bottled at 54.3% ABV.
