The Spring Break Cocktail: 100% fun, 0% regret

The Spring Break of our Salad Days was a sun filled booze bonanza with a more is more motto. The week-long bacchanal is in our rear view mirror now, but we're happy to embrace a Spring Break state of mind, or in this case, cocktail recipe.

Enter The Spring Breaker.

This monster of a cocktail combines the spirit of tiki and an adventurous night south of the border, with Wahaka mezcal acting as a smokey anchor to invoke the feeling of a beach bonfire. Velvet Falernum (a traditional and beloved ingredient in tiki drinks) lends delicious spice, Green Chartreuse brings an herbal touch, and overproof rum adds a jolt of flavor. Combine with lime juice, pineapple juice, agave syrup, and pineapple gum syrup to complete this Caribbean and Cabo marriage.

The Spring Breaker

Combine all ingredients with ice and shake. Dump into your favorite tiki glass and top with crushed ice. For those feeling adventurous, hollow out half a lime, float it in the glass with chartreuse and rum, and light on fire! Express citrus zest into the flames and watch the fireworks. Garnish with a pineapple chunk and lime wedge. Enjoy!
