Yellowstone "Recollection Series" 8 Year Bourbon Whiskey

The Yellowstone Recollection Series is a new ongoing though limited release from Limestone Branch Distillery. The beautiful bottle is an homage to the back-bar decanters that graced many a saloon shelf in the pre-prohibition era. Inside is a lovely 8 year old blend of Limestone Branch and Lux Row distillates bottled at a sturdy 110 proof. The nose offers scents of toffee and caramel with notes of gingerbread, red fruit, and charred oak. On the palate, the caramel and toffee flavors lead the way and are joined by apple, custard, butterscotch, and oak. The finish is warming and slightly dry with cinnamon, cherry, leather, and oak.
