Mount Gay "Exceptionally Aged" 15 Year Rum

Distilled by Mount Gay’s former Master Blender Jerry Edwards, this rum was produced on a column still and matured exclusively in ex-bourbon barrels. Maturation was later overseen by former Master Blender Allen Smith and then eventually by current Master Blender Trudiann Branker. Shows notes of zesty grapefruit, buttery pastry, banana, vanilla, plum, caramel, and cinnamon. The palate bursts with butterscotch, vanilla, caramel, orange zest, cocoa nibs, red plum, banana, citrus, and a surprising hint of sea salt. Bottled at 43% abv without chill-filtration.
