Four Roses OESK 'Everything in its Right Place' Barrel Strength Bourbon

Like an incredible album that mesmerizes you with its opening notes and keeps getting better until its final harp flutters, this barrel of Four Roses is delicious and impeccably balanced from start to finish. Distilled from the "E" mash containing 75% corn, 20% rye, and 5% malted barley and the "K" yeast strain ("slight spice" according to 4R), this barrel was aged for 9 years and 10 months in the 4th tier on the south side of Warehouse F before bottling without chill filtration at 121 proof. The nose opens with scents of rich baking spices and snickerdoodle cookies followed by red berries, caramel, and sweet oak. The palate begins with sweet red berries and caramel sauce with citrus, vanilla, and cinnamon each making appearances. The spice kicks up a bit on the finish which leaves flavors of mulled wine, snickerdoodle cookie, and sweet oak and leaves one eager for the next sip.
